All disciplinary actions will be documented in writing and kept on file, and may be modified to be in accordance with district guidelines.
MINOR CLASSROOM DISRUPTIONS:
1. Non-Verbal Redirection Make eye-contact with disruptive student and/or move nearer to student. 2. Verbal Redirection Briefly remind students (whole class) of task at hand, rule, procedure, etc. 3. Conference/ Written Warning Quick meeting after class or in hallway to communicate behavior expectations and hear student response. 4. Parental Contact Call or email parents about infractions and warning issued. 5. Seating Assignment Change Student moved to new location close to front and with peer models. 6. Time-Out Student moved to Quiet Area Teacher conference Parental Contact
MAJOR CLASSROOM DISRUPTIONS:
1. Conference/ Written Warning Meeting in hallway to communicate behavior expectations and hear student response. Parental contact by phone. 2. Time-Out Student moved to Quiet Area. Teacher conference. Parental Contact by phone. 3. Detention After school detention issued. Parental contact by phone. 4. Referral Written referral and sent to office/guidance counselor. Parental Contact by phone. 5. Repeated Referrals May result in suspension or eventual expulsion by administration.
