UNIT IV

15).Hero cycle manufactures from Kadapa sends on consignment 100 cycles to Amaravathiat
Vijayawada. Each cycle costs at Rs.3,000 but invoiced at Rs. 4,000. The consignor paid
expenses for freight charges Rs.10,000; Insurance Rs.14,000. The Consignee received the goods
and accepted a bill for Rs. 1,00,000 towards advance. According to his account sales 90 cycles
were sold at their invoice price. commission at 4% and delecredere commission at 3% on gross
sales. The consignees expenditure was Rs. 5,000 towards selling and promotion. He has
prepared a bank draft for the due amount prepare necessary accounts in the Books of Hero
Cycles.

18).JohnPrasad Co, Ltd., purchased a machinery costing Rs.50,000 on jan.1,2005. Again on July
1,2006 and Jan.1, 2007 the company purchased two machines worth Rs. 10,000 and Rs.16,000
respectively. On 30th June 2008, the company sold the machinery, which was purchased on July
1, 2006 for Rs.6,000 only. Charge depreciation at the rate of 20 per cent per annum in
Fixedinstallment method. Prepare Machinery accounts up to 31st Dec 2008, and ascertain the
written-down value of the machinery.
