Measures in Effect
Mandatory Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures are in
effect now for the Town of Creston and Erickson Water
Systems. The Arrow Creek water system is continuing to
experience leakage in the amount of 25% of the total flow
in the old Arrow Creek concrete water main, impacting
the ability to supply peak demand flow. This leakage will
be corrected when the final phase water main installation
is completed. The leakage in conjunction with high lev-
els of demand, as well as above normal temperature levels
for this time of year, requires that Creston and Erickson
Water System users conserve water.
Watering of lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs is ONLY
permitted between 6 am 10 am and 8 pm 10 pm.
Watering of gardens, trees and shrubs by watering can
or hand-held hose is still permitted anytime.
The Town of Creston and the RDCK appreciate your
cooperation in adhering to the above water conserva-
tion measures. Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures will
remain in effect until further notice and stricter water con-
servation measures may be required if demand increases
significantly, hot and dry weather prevails, or stream flows
decline to critically low levels.
