PROCEDURE

Activity 1 Checking homework


Aims: to check and correct the mistakes
Procedure: T notes the absents for the day. One or two Ss read their
homework .

Time: 7 minutes

Activity 2 Warm up
Aims: introducing the new lesson speaking
Procedure: T aks some questions about dangerous animals they know and
the Ss answer the Ts questions.

Time: 5 minutes

Activity 3 Reading
Aims: Talking about what the text wants to emphasize
Procedure :T asks the Ss to read the text on pages 60,61. The students read
and translate the text Into the jaws of.. danger. While translating they have
to guess the meaning of the words in ex 1 a) page 61.

Time : 15 minutes

Activity 4 Repetition or systematisation


Aims : to put the events in the correct order
Procedure : T asks Ss to do the ex. 1 b) on page 61. In pairs , Ss do the ex.
observing the sequences from the text.

Activity 5 Practice
Aims : to identify the verbs in the past simple and past continuous
Procedure : T asks the Ss to underline the verbs in the past simple and
continuous . Ss accomplish the task.

Activity 6 Assigning homework


Aims : to encourage them to write about an accident or an unhappy event in
their life.
Procedure : T praises the Ss and asks them if they enjoyed the lesson or if
they have questions about the lesson. Then T gives them homework to do ex
3 page 61.
