RUNNING A REPORT IN THE BACKGROUND

After choosing a report and entering the parameters, the report can be executed. Reports should
be run in the background, either before 9:00 a.m. or after 4:30 p.m.

TO SCHEDULE THE REPORT

1. From the Program menu, select Execute in Background.

2. Select Send to SAP Spooler Only for now from the Time of Print dropdown, and click the
Continue icon.

3. Click the Immediate button to start the job right away.

4. Click the Save icon.

Notice that Background job was scheduled for program appears at the bottom of the screen.

TO RETRIEVE THE REPORT

1. From the System menu, select Own Jobs.

2. Click the Job selection button.

3. Click the Execute button.

4. The Job Overview screen will display any jobs pending for the user, along with the status of
the job/s.

Note: The status of this job is Active, and thus cant be accessed yet. To view an updated
status of the job, click the Refresh icon.

5. When the job status is Complete, the output can be retrieved.

6. Click the box to the left of the job number (i.e., ZCRSF047), and then click the Spool button.

7. Click the ABAP List icon to display the jobs output.
