Our perception & Reality:
Our seniors of batch 13 had internship here last year. They told me
about century paper mills. They shared their 3-day experience of internship here, after that they
relinquish this internship of 4-weeks. They showcase us the brutal image of the company, that
was actually not like they said. After all I got internship here completing all due procedures.
On the first day at century, I took wrong route and reached at industry 6:30am which was too
early. I was with my friend M Talha. we wait for 2 hours for the proceedings to start. We went to
HRD department they tasked us with a form to sign from departments like
Firefighting office
Safety office
Admin office
Welfare office
Each department gave us briefing about themselves and praised the reputation of the industry.
Most important departments were

Firefighting:
They brief us how they are playing their role in the company success
They handed over us with an instruction paper related to fire safety, some of the points
are,
Fire consists of three components Air, Oxygen, Heat. If supply of one of them stopped
fire stop.
Combust able materials are classified into A, B, C, D, E. those remained their ash, fuels
like diesel, gases, metals, and machines respectively.
Different fire extinguisher are used for different types of fire.
Fire extinguishers are also classified into A, B, C, D, E. water, carbon dioxide, carbon
dioxide foam.

Safety office:
Do not wear kurta shalwar as during the operation of machine it sucks air and it can suck
your cloths
Stay away from machines without helper
