The squat- proper form, technique and advantages

The Squat is a full body compound exercise. It is known as the king of exercises, as
it works multiple muscle groups

Technique and form

1. Do not do partial Squats by going only half the way down.


2. Go parallel to the floor by squatting down until your hips are below your
knees.
3. Push your knees out so theyre inline with you feet.
4. Knees should not go ahead of your toes
5. Keep your lower back neutral, do not let it arch

Advantages
Squats work your whole body.
Your legs bend and straighten to move the weight.
Your abs and lower back muscles stabilize your trunk while your legs move.
Your upper-back, shoulders and arms balance the weight in your hand or across
your shoulder.
Many muscles work at the same time, not just your legs.
It is one of the best exercises to overcome knee and back pain
