Guidelines to Authors (for articles in IEEMA Journal)

IMP: Articles to be published should be original and should not be published in any
other publication or conference before. Authors are required to fill declaration form to
this effect. IEEMA Journal owns copyright of original articles published in IEEMA
Journal.

1. A soft copy of the article should be sent to us as a word doc file, by email
(chitra.tamhankar@ieema.org) or in a CD. Language, use of appropriate words,
correct grammar and spellings are the responsibility of authors. Coloured
passport size photograph of authors should be sent along with article as high-
resolution jpg file.

2. Received article is sent to the relevant scrutineer from our scrutineers panel.
The comments, suggestions given by scrutineer will be conveyed to the author.
As per scrutineers suggestions, relevant changes can be made in the article.
Alternatively, author can give answers to scrutineers questions, which are
printed at the end of the article.

3. Authors can, if they so desire, request for article to be published under a


Pseudonym. However IEEMA will require name and full correspondence
address of the author.

4. In case of articles published under joint authorship, IEEMA will require a single
name and address for correspondence. In the absence of specific instructions,
the first named author will be deemed to be the person so designated.

5. Mathematical expressions, equations etc. should be placed at appropriate


places in article. Figures should be numbered and titled appropriately. The
height and size of written alphabets, words, figures, etc should also be such
that they remain legible when reduced in similar proportions. The article should
bear proper headings and subheadings. The word limit should be approximately
within the range 2000 3500 words.

6. Images in the article should be of high-resolution (300 dpi) so that the


reproduction after printing will be good. All the images, graphs, figures, block
diagrams, charts, single line diagrams, numbers should be very clear and
legible.

7. A synopsis not exceeding 500 words, and contents highlight not exceeding 75
words, should be made.

8. Articles should be sent to Editor, IEEMA Journal. A covering letter mentioning


that Article is for publication in IEEMA Journal should necessarily accompany
the article.
