COURSE DESCRIPTION: It deals with the principles and techniques of nursing care management of sick clients across the lifespan with emphasis on the adult and older person with
alteration/problems in cellular aberration.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of the course, and given actual clients with problems in cellular aberrations, acute biologic crisis and emergency, the student should be able to:

1. Apply the nursing process in the care of individual and families in community and hospital settings.
2. Utilize a well-organized and accurate documentation system
3. Relate with client/s and their family and the health team appropriately in a diverse/ multi-cultural setting
4. Exhibit bioethical concepts/ principles, core values and nursing standards in the care of clients
5. Demonstrate personal and professional growth of self and others
6. Apply principles of evidence-based research in the delivery of care in the different health care setting.
7. Participate in the advancement of the profession to improve health care for the betterment of the global society.
8. Apply selected principles of caring interpersonal relationships and communication patterns in providing care for individuals and families with lived experiences of wellness and illness.
9. Formulate and apply strategies to enhance positive communication patterns of complex systems in providing care for individuals, families and communities.
