X. Rationale

The sun is most important to us, for its warmth and light made the earth habitable for
eons. It emits constant and unlimited energy that sustains life on earth; and this solar power
shines to provide continuous energy on in any place of earths surface as long as its day time.
Thus solar energy is considered as renewable natural source, but harnessing the solar energy
and converting it into usable electrical energy gave technologists, scientists, and engineers
great challenge on how to make it possible. Photovoltaic (PV) or solar cells as we know it is the
answer sought to convert solar power energy into usable electric energy, the process is also
known as the photovoltaic effect.

Considering this renewable energy as an alternative means of electric generation

favours the agricultural enthusiasts thru embracing a greener and cleaner environment to live
by rather than promoting other generating companies by burning non-renewable resources to
generate electricity that contributes to greenhouse effects that triggers global warming.

Identifying all possible applications of Solar Power System by understanding how it

works and determining its importance and usage for agricultural purposes expands peoples
mind on embracing Solar Power System for a more sustainable and economic environment.

This training about the basics of Solar Power System and how it works opens a wide
perspective for the future environmentalists and engineers on embracing a greener and
sustainable environment.
