REWARD AND RECOGNITION POLICY

The Company encourages the recognition of excellent performance and achievement through the
use of rewards that are meaningful. When administered and communicated effectively, reward
and recognition are an important part of a total rewards program.

Eligibility:

This policy is eligible only for employees of CavinKare pvt. Ltd., and covers the divisions of
Personal Care, Foods, International Business & Beverages sales.

Types of Reward:

Spot Award
Star Performer
Super Seller of the JC esp. sales team in regions

Purpose:

This scheme will cover all employees of the company and will extend to the following areas:
Outstanding individual/ team performance
Innovative/ creative work (ideas)
Image building/ public relations work for the company
One time cost saving or quality improvement jobs
Any other performance by an individual or team considered outstanding by the
departmental head.

Why R&R system is required?

Improve Organizational Effectiveness: Support the attainment of the organization's mission,


strategies, and help to achieve sustainable, competitive advantage.

Support and change culture: Support is necessary to help changes in the 'organizational
culture' as expressed through its values for performance innovation, risks taking, quality,
flexibility and team working.

Motivate Employees : Motivate employees to achieve high levels of quality performance.

Compete in the Market: Attract and retain high quality people/performer.

Increased Commitment: Enhance the commitment of employees to the organization that will
a) want to remain CK Employee, b) develop a strong belief in and acceptance of the values and
goals of the organization and c) be ready and willing to exert considerable effort on its behalf.

Fairness and Equity: Reward people fairly and consistently according to their contribution and
values to the organization.
Improved Skills : Upgrade competence and encourage personal development.

Improved Quality: Help to achieve continuous improvement in levels of quality and customer
service.

Reward Guidelines:

This policy should be strictly followed by FH/BH/RM/AM and HR


Rewards should be given for significant outstanding performance that advances,
Region/Department/Function goals, and should be tied to a specific accomplishment.
Reward is most effective when they are meaningful to the individual.
Respective location head will be responsible for getting gift/gift voucher for the category
Star Performer
Supervisor should take care in communication and distribution of reward.
Reward may be designed to reflect the unique nature of the units work culture and
organizational structure.
The following chart summarizes reward value parameters.
HR will have the certificates and after validating the nomination along with BH/FH,
certificates will be given to BH/FH to hand it to the employee.
No exception requests for deviation of policy will be encouraged.

Team HR
Spot Award

Nomination for this award can be initiated by self/ team members to respective FH/BUH.
It can be a team/individual nomination.
It is the responsibility of the FH/BH with HR to validate the nomination and hand out the
certificate on time.
The Functional Head/BU Head will present a non-financial reward with an appreciation
letter from his/her side within 3 days of the event/achievement.
Number of certificates for each quarter will be allotted according to the team size and
will be made available with the HR.

Star Performer

Nomination for this award can be initiated by self/ team members to respective FH/BH.
There can be only one person awarded in a team every quarter.
It is the responsibility of the FH/BH with HR to validate the nomination and hand out the
certificate as well as the gift voucher of Rs.1000/- on time.
Cash prize should not be given. Only gifts / vouchers worth Rs.1000/- should be given to
the winner.
Respective location head will be responsible for getting gift/gift voucher
The same award winner cannot be nominated for next quarter unless there is a strong
reason. This increases the scope of coving all the best performers in the department.
You may consider the following components for the same-
1. Performance during 3 months
2. Leadership skills
3. Taking responsibility
4. Sincerity towards the Job
Award will be given to the respective individual once in 4 months.
The FH/BU Head will present a certificate and gift voucher award for the winner.
This option will be open only for 3 months in my.cavinkare.com.
o Nomination June, October & February.
o Validation - before June 15th , Oct 15th , Feb 15th
o Felicitation - July 1st , Nov 1st, March 1st

Certificates will be made available to FH by HR.
Award will be given to the respective individual once a month.
Respective RM/AMs will give the certificate for the winner.
This option will be open during the 1st wk of every JC in my.cavinkare.com.
o Nomination - 1st wk of the JC
o Validation - Mid wk of JC
o Felicitation - 3rd wk of JC
Auto generated mail alert will be sent to respective superior.
RMs will be responsible for validating TSO category award.
AMs will be responsible for validating TSI category award.
