I. Introduction

G
lobal warming is just warming up .it has barely started, and contrary to belief, humanity has
had some influence on the matter. I have seen lands that have been turned from jungle into
desserts by people in a matter of a couple of years, because of the slash and burn method
used by settlers and expanding agriculture and I have seen rivers dry up because of
deforestation in many places.

II. Content

There are natural cycles in this planets life. But a lot is influenced by mans existence and this is
increasing with overpopulation, putting strains on natural resources and increasing contamination as well
as destruction of essential components that ensure living conditions for all life forms.

III. Reaction

In recent times, thousands of people have died because of excessive heat, usually old people in
India, Mexico and France. Deforestation causing
desertification, the desert conditions causing very cold
nights and scorching hot days. Also in China,
thousand of what used to be farmers are running for their
lives from the dust storms that have buried their towns and
turned their lands into deserts. Instead of producing food,
they now need it from somewhere else. It will drastically
take effect in the world food prices when they start
buying water in the form of grains at any cost
destabilizing governments.

Aside from expanding deforestation of the Earths

land resulting into deserts, there is another problem
regarding to global warming, the rising of the sea level. The North Pole is melting and we will know it
without ice in our lifetime. It results to increase of sea level, thus after like 50-100 years, if the global
warming still continues, the whole world will be covered in sea water. No more lands to walk on through.

To help save our planet, we must do our own act. Get up altogether and do our part. Like planting a
tree every week. If everyone in the planet does this, we would be able to reverse the destructive process.
Some inventors are working on a special kind of exhaust system for a car that reduces carbon emissions.
Also by using alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials like aerosols,
burning rubber, industrial companies, power plants and etc.
Renewabl e energy sources such as
solar, wind, geothermal and bioenergy
are available around the world.
Multiple studies have shown that
renewable energy has the technical
potential to meet the vast majority of
our energy needs. Renewable
technologies can be deployed
quickly, are increasingly cost-effective,
and create jobs while reducing pollution.

Another, energy efficiency

technologies allow us to use
less energy to get the sameor higherlevel of production, service, and comfort. This approach has vast
potential to save both energy and money, and can be deployed quickly.

If all the countries of the worldfrom the most to the least developedvary dramatically in their
contributions to the problem of climate change and in their responsibilities and capacities to confront it. A
successful global compact on climate change must include financial assistance from richer countries to
poorer countries to help make the transition to low-carbon development pathways and to help adapt to
the impacts of climate change.
