The Senate Hearings on Alleged Extrajudicial Killings should be terminated

(Negative Beneficiality)
Before anything else, Id like to paint you a picture. Imagine yourself as one of the
countless victims surviving kin either as a father, mother, brother, sister, or
cousin. Imagine having lost a loved one, a relative, a best friend. Wouldnt you
want retribution? Wouldnt you want to get to the bottom of this and expose the
people responsible, and justice finally be served?
Although we concede to the fact that other issues are currently left out in the dark,
but it seems to us that our opponents beliefs are misplaced.
These hearings on the alleged extrajudicial killings are just as important. (As those
mentioned by the previous speaker)
Yes, it has been six (6) months since these senate hearings commenced, and even
during those six (6) long months, a significant number of our people are
relentlessly waiting, monitoring every step of the proceedings, with hopes of
finally knowing the truth.
Our government admits that our justice system right now is not one without fault
no system is perfect. But this time around, let us not let people down
Yes, our justice system is not perfect, not yet, at least, but let us prove to the
people that we are actually doing something about it.
We must focus on the main issue we are facing at bar, rather than redirecting
ourselves to some other issues because the Senate Hearings on Alleged Extra-
judicial killings is beneficial to the people of the Philippines and for future
Generations.
These hearings must not be stopped nor terminated because this will
also help Congress craft measures that would ensure proper enforcement of
law by the authorities.
We must not forget that peoples lives has been taken and to state the fact,
numerous innocent ones were took without due process.
Art 3 (Bill of Right), Sec. 1 of the 1987 Constitution states that No Person
shall be deprived of life, liberty of property without due process of law, nor shall
any person be denied the equal protection of the laws.
Justice has already been delayed and denied, how much more putting a stop
to the Senate hearings on Extrajudicial Killings? We must not let this happen!
Justice must be served because it is their right and it is the right thing to do.
We must continue these hearings to find out the truth behind these unlawful
killings and to put an end for the welfare of the public.
I am just but one voice, and one voice, admittedly cant do much. Which is
why Im calling out to the countless victims whose suffered loss. I dare you to
speak up, and let our side be heard.
Let us not stop now. Not now when were already so close to uncovering the
truth.
