Executive Board:

Trumps Comments Do Not Represent the YRNF

December 8, 2015
The Republican party has always been the party that embraces everyone,
from every corner of the world. We are the party of hope, promise, and
opportunity. Recently, we have been branded as something other than
honest stewards of the American dream because of comments made by a
certain presidential campaign.
The YRNF wants to be very clear: Donald Trump is out of line with his
comments about Muslims. These statements targeting a specific group of
people for their race or religion does not reflect who we are as a party.
Nor do they reflect the values that we embody, embrace, and encourage
others to adopt.

1
As House Speaker Paul Ryan so rightfully put it, This is not conservatism.
What was proposed yesterday is not what this party stands for. And more
importantly, its not what this country stands for.
We will do as we have always done, we will continue to fight for
conservative principles and will advocate on behalf of the party to get
Republicans elected. But we will not overlook any candidates attempt to
attribute ignorant and patently wrong viewpoints to our organization. The
Young Republicans will stand up for what is right and urge others to do
the same.
One of the cornerstones of the Republican brand is accountability. We
must hold each other accountable for our remarks, especially extremely
hurtful ones that do not reflect us as Republicans, much less as
Americans.
We hope that Donald Trump will realize his speech was not consistent
with what we believe in as a party, and harmful to us as a country. We
expect our representatives to bring people back together especially
considering the current circumstances facing our nation.
We call on Donald Trump to retract his comments and recognize this
divisive rhetoric is not just anti-Republican, but anti-American.
Lastly, it has come to our attention individuals claiming to be part of a
New Hampshire Young Republican organization are extending
endorsements for Mr. Trump. Currently, the YRNF does not recognize any
group from New Hampshire as an associated Young Republican
federation, and any individuals claiming to endorse on behalf of Young
Republicans do not speak for us.

About YRNF:
The Young Republican National Federation headed by Chairman Dennis Cook and
Co-Chairman Chris Carmona is an official auxiliary organization under the RNC.
YRNF represents Republican voters between the ages of 18 and 40 across
America. The national youth wing of the GOP represents members of both state
and local chapters of the Young Republicans.
