A Short Discourse on the Phonology of @arabprincess Voice Clip and the Factors Leading to the
Determination of its Brown-ness

In this brief essay I will discuss the factors which lead to my verdict on the brown-ness of
@arabprincess voice. Primarily the factors discussed will obviously be phonetic in nature and call
upon Arabic Phonology and its transposition into the English language.

A brief clarification of the contents of the voice clip can be summarised as an ambling spree
of nonsense rolling out of the mouth of a seemingly confused participant, @arabprincess, as she
fumbles to think of idle chatter to fill the time. The entire clip being around one minute long, which
while unnecessary and facetious, does allow for more examples of the factors in question.

In regards to the phonemes in question, phonemes being the smallest units of sound that form
the words in a language, the most prominent to discuss in relation to the brown-ness of
@arabprincess and in general the Middle Eastern populations are the uvular /q/ and the harsh velar
/k/. While the English language obviously makes use of both the voiceless pre-uvular stop phoneme
/q/ and the voiceless velar stop /k/ phonemes, they are considerably harsher in Arabic languages and
find themselves in much more frequent use as well as almost tending closer to a fricative, the air being
forced between a small gap following the pronunciation of the phoneme somewhat making the /k/ and
/q/ phonemes begin to resemble the voiceless velar fricative /x/ phoneme (och in Scottish loch).
The /k/ phoneme in @arabprincess voice clip does reveal her brown-ness though it is not
significant but that may just be because words that would require the /q/ and /x/ phonemes were not
utilised in said clip.12

To briefly conclude because its fucking early and Ive not slept (7.27 AM at the moment),
@arabprincess voice clip does demonstrate a level of brown-ness though not substantial, through
the appearance of the harsh voiceless velar stop /k/ phoneme manifesting itself in her speech.
However, the true brown-ness of @arabprincess voice note could in fact be more substantial than
was apparent in the voice clip due to the word choice used in it, but we unfortunately cannot know
unless further voice clips are provided that feature more phonetic depth.
