On the afternoon of the 19th July, 2010, Ko Than Htike Aung phoned me
if I wanted to go with him on a trip to Nay Pyi Taw. Then, I told him why
not.
We left Yangon at about 2100hr with Yan Linn Aung driving his car.
There was a very intense moment before we left. I was calling Mee to
tell her that I was leaving that evening, but she switched off her phone,
and when she switched it on her phone card expired even before she
received my 3 messages. She called me with her new prepaid sim card
which is 0945577492, a number with +1 her previous number. I told her
that I was leaving very soon. She said she would come if there was
time. And finally she arrived to me bringing various stuff for the trip- a
toothbrush and a toothpaste, a small bottle of shower cream, 3 masks,
a strip of vicee tablets, a pack of premier coffee mix, a tin can of Lion, 7
coffee and orange soft drink each, and 3-5 kinds of snacks to have on
the way. She had to take the taxi to get them to me. She went back
with bus after she cleansed my spectacles’ glasses.
The 1st driver was Yan Linn Aung. He drove us till the 50th mile. And Ko
Than Htike Aung switched the driver seat. We had after midnight dinner
at FEEL, 115th mile rest zone, around 1 o’clock. We caught a heavy rain
60miles before our destination. We checked out Ko Than Htike Aung’s
color GPS and found out these informations- altitude-300ft, avg spd-
13-20 mph, ETA to destination- 3:30am, etc.

After the documents for their company were copied, we went to a tea
shop in Tha Pyay Gone Zay. Mee called me and we had a couple of chat
on what to eat and what not to eat. Then I had a low-sugar tea and a
pae palartar. Then we went to the gems museum and the head quarter
for gems Trading and Excavating. We spent an awful lot of time there
on the paper works. We had to go to the Myanmar Economic Bank to
transfer money to the Gems Head Quarter.
It was 21st July, 2010 when we woke up, packed our things and went
back to yangon at about 10. Ko Than Htike Aung hit the floor with an
average of 100km/h along the high way road. Me and Yan Lin Aung had
2 tins of beer on the back seats. We got to the end of the high way at
1410hr, spending only 3 hours on the high way.
