Abstract Proper design of water transfer and distribution structures has an important role in
realization of the projects objectives. At the present research was tried that by using of relation
hydraulic about of water flow in open channels and using of design criterions was supplied a
computer software in format of visual basic program language for design of canals, road crossing,
inverted siphon and rectangular inclined drop. At beginning, program algorithm was prepared in
format of flowchart or ordinal recipe and then algorithm structure was designed in format of visual
basic program language that this had included designing of graphical component for input of
information, display of output, graphical component of windows programs and write of program to
visual basic program language. After of graphical design and write of primary program for debug of
errors that usually happen in primal stages, this program was run. After know of errors, this error was
debugged and then prepared setup file so that user exerted it in windows operation system or another
operation system. Comparison between software calculation and result of manual calculation pointed
that this software can design these structures by high accuracy.
