Angela Pittman

Angela Pittman is a Senior Consultant in PCGs Human Services practice with nearly
30 years of experience in the Health and Human Services (HHS) sector across child
welfare, aging, veterans and adult services. At PCG, Angela works with federal, state,
and local child welfare and human services agencies on a variety of issues including
workforce retention and recruitment, leadership development, data analytics, business
process redesign, quality improvement, and more.

Experience Prior to joining PCG in 2015, Angela served as Social Work Director for Buncombe County Health and
Human Services in North Carolina from 2005 to 2015. As Social Work Director, Angela worked with senior
leadership to develop and implement an integrated services model streamlining access for citizens through
evidence-based interventions and effective quality service delivery. She also led efforts to build and retain a
resilient workforce through the implementation of secondary trauma supports and other strategic supports
as a result, staff retention increased by 30 percent.

Before Buncombe County, Angela held multiple leadership positions including, most recently, Provider
Services Director for Foothills Managed Care Organization in Morgantown, NC, where she oversaw all
performance based contracts, program evaluation and implementation of evidence-based practices within
a mental health network. She also worked as Chief Operations Officer and Accreditation Manager for The
Family Center in Charlotte, NC, where she facilitated a 30-person board and was responsible for a $3.2
million budget. From 2000 to 2016, Angela served as an Adjunct Profession at Warren Wilson College &
Montreat College teaching undergraduate students across an array of courses in human services programs.

Education Angela holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Western Carolina University and a Master of Social Work from
UNC Chapel Hill, with a concentration in organizational leadership and management. She is currently pursuing
her Doctorate of Social Work at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN (expected completion 2020).
