Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan for Grade 9 Arts 3rd Quarter

Nov. 24-25, 2015 (Tuesday & Wednesday)

I. OBJECTIVES
A. General Objectives
Demonstrates an understanding of basic concepts and processes in music and the arts
through appreciation, analysis and performance for his/her self-development.
B. Specific Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students are able to:
a. Identify distinct characteristics of art and representative artist of Neoclassic
period.
b. Describe the influence of icons belonging to Neoclassic & romantic art.
c. Create a sketch guided by style of neoclassic & romantic art.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
Topic: Art of the NeoClassic and romantic Period
Materials: audio/visual materials, LCD projector, cartolina, marking pen.

III. PROCEDURE
a. Preparatory/ Routinary activities (Prayer, attendance, review of last lesson).
b. Motivation Photo Puzzle (3 mins.)
The students will group into 3 & will race to complete the puzzle.
c. Lesson Proper
1.) The teacher will discuss the historical background of neoclassic and romantic art.
2.) show different artist and their works in the neoclassic and romantic period.
3.) Application: Students will make a sketch of their own theme.

IV. EVALUATION
Identify the arts in the picture if Neoclassical or Romantic. 1-2
3-5 Give one artist for neoclassic, romantic and neogothic period.

V. ASSIGNMENT Art Selfie in a illustration board or oslo paper. Make a selfie
portrait using any neoclassic or romantic art painting.
