Creative is a construction company that specializes in building low cost permanent structure
housing with technology derived from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok. The
technology is also known as Habitech Building System. The technology was developed in the
aftermath of 2015 earthquake in order to provide access to safe and affordable housing in the
rural section of the society. The pricing is significantly lower than the conventional brick and
mortar housing which targets the economy range of those affected by the earthquake in the
rural sections.
As a relatively new entrant in the construction industry, the massive growth of the same,
requires Creative to manage the demand as well as maintain its own growth and sustenance.
Considering all the opportunity, Creative has currently expanding their business into two other
places namely Sindhupalchok and Sindhuli, the base factory being in Nuwakot.
Expansion and catering to the massive demand requires manpower and thus the immediate
need of training and development of new employees in the factory on technology, production
mechanism and such has become a high priority. Without effective training and development
model, not only will the organization lose the existing massive opportunity but will also incur
high non-yielding expenses.
One of the notable training program done by Creative is sending its engineer to AIT Bangkok to
acquire the essential technical skills of the Habitech Building System.
While these trainings are for the immediate needs, other training are provided on quality
control techniques and production methods to the laborers that complements the organization
production and safety goals.
Organization Vision and objective
While the engineers are sent to learn about the Habitech technology, these engineers are not
immediately capable to act as an expert in the technology and delegate the training knowledge
and technical skills accordingly, creating some disturbances and errors in the construction
designs and development. There is a need to hire an expert directly from AIT for a short period
of time, until the error percentage has drastically reduced and the organization can sustain
itself in the business with minor issues
