TUTORING ACTIVITY PLAN for Antonio Gabriele

ELA Objectives (for St. Agnes student):


Students will define what a fact and opinion is.
Students will be able to differentiate between facts and opinions.
Students will be able to generate and identify words associated with opinion or fact statements.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) The student and teacher will first discuss what the student thinks an
opinion and a fact means. Then the student will be given the pieces to
make a 3D boat model: the base of the boat, a paddle wheel, two posts,
and a rubber band. The student will examine the pieces of the 3D boat
model and he will list 3 opinions and 3 facts about the boat.

Pre-Test (5 min) The student will complete a quiz on a Kahoot, solving the correct answer
to the question. This will measure the students prior knowledge of fact,
opinions and being able to identify words associated with both.

Review of Prior After the student complete the Kahoot quiz, the teachers will

Student will be able to interpret products using the method of repeated addition/skip counting.
Student will be able to comprehend the direct relationship between multiplication and repeated
addition/skip counting.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) The student will warm-up by watching a repeated addition video on
BrainPOP Jr. The Repeated Addition video will review the direct
relationship between multiplication and repeated addition/skip counting.

Pre-Test (5 min) The student will complete a quiz on Kahoot, where he will be asked to
match the repeated addition equation with the corresponding multiplication
equation, as well as, what the sum and product of both equations are.
