Purpose:
To provide healthcare professionals with the most advanced evidence-based medicine for the treatment of stroke and
cardiovascular disease.

Target Audience:
Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, EMTs, paramedics, radiology technologists,
physical and respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals

Program Objectives:
At the conclusion of this live knowledge based activity, participants should be able to:
Review current treatments, preventative measures, scientific advancements and pharmacotherapeutics in cardiovascular care
Identify strategies to navigate the health care system to improve patient outcomes and manage population health
Demonstrate techniques: EKG interpretation, management of acute stroke patients, utilization of cardiovascular devices,
and cardiac resuscitation
Describe how to apply evidence-based medicine in the care of the patient with congestive heart failure, stroke and acute
coronary syndrome
