1. What is your belief regarding the infallibility and authority of the Bible? Is it
fully inerrant today? Why would this be important to you?

2. What is your belief regarding the Trinity?

I believe that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons:
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune
God created all, upholds all, and governs all things. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4;
Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3).

a. I believe in the person of God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit,
perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself
mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that
He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
(Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 3:16 and 4:24; 1
Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3).

b. I believe in the person of Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by
the Holy Spirit. I believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and
teachings, his substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension
into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return
to earth. (Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35;
John 1:1-2, 8:58 and 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews
1:8; 1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8).

c. I believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, Who came forth from the Father and
Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to
regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; (Acts
1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26 and 15:13,16; Hebrews
9:14), I believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that
He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide. (John 6:13, 14:16-17 and 16:8-11;
Romans 8:26). I believe in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit as a distinct and
separate experience to that of regeneration, occurring, either subsequent to or
simultaneous with salvation, evidenced by a greater dynamic in the Christian's
life enabling that person to be a bold and more effective witness. The supreme
evidence of the Spirit filled life is the fruit of the Spirit, love. I believe in the
present day ministry of the Holy Spirit in regard to the exercise of all biblical
gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the instructions given to us in 1
Corinthians Chapters 12 through14.

13. What is your belief on the observation and significance of the Lords Supper?

See the answer to #12. Jesus commanded us to partake of His Supper.

14. What are your opinions as to the nature and purpose of the church?

I believe in the pattern and principle of male leadership and responsibility in both
the home and the church, according to the sacrificial example of Jesus. I believe
this limits the roles of pastoral leadership and doctrinal authority to qualified men
(1 Corinthians 11:1-12, 1 Timothy 2:1-15). I believe in the universal church, the
living spiritual body, of which Christ is the head and all who are born again are a
part of the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:15-16)

15. What is your belief regarding the personal return of Jesus Christ in the flesh?
When does it occur and for what purpose? Please distinguish between the
Rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Christ.

I believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which is His personal, visible
return to earth and the establishment of His millennial kingdom, in the resurrection
of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless
separation of the wicked. (Matthew 16:27; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:11-
15) I believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church where all believers will
meet the Lord in the air and be taken out of this world prior to the Tribulation that
will come upon the earth. (Isaiah 26:20; Matthew 24:29-31; Luke 21:36; Romans
1:18, 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-16 and 5:9; 2 Peter 2:7-9; Revelation 3:10,
5:7-10 and 7:13-14)

16. What is your belief on the Rapture of the church and when it will occur in
relation to the Tribulation Period?

See the answer to #15.

17. Summarize your views on Israel and the Church in end times history and
prophecy.

I believe that Israel and the Church are mutually exclusive. (Romans 9, 10, & 11;
Revelation 2, 3, & 4)

18. Are you in agreement with the Calvinistic doctrines of double predestination
and limited atonement? If so, please state your views on these doctrines.

No, I am not.

19. How would you strike a balance between Calvinism and Arminianism (If
familiar with the views)?

Was Jesus Christ a Calvinist or an Arminian?

20. Are you familiar with the Word Faith movement? If so what is your
perspective on it?

I am only familiar with this movement based on Internet research, and I do not agree
with it.

21. What is your view on generational curses and demons? Do you believe a
Christian could be demon possessed? If not, why? If so, please give scriptural
support for your view.

I believe in the reality and personality of Satan (Job 1:7; Matt. 4:1-11), and that he
was defeated by Christ through His death, burial, and resurrection at Calvary (Eph.
1:19-23; Col. 2:15; Heb. 2:14 15; I John 3:8), and that Christ has delegated His
authority over all the works of Satan to His body the Church (Matt. 28:18 20)

22. Are you familiar with the Signs and Wonders movement? Have you heard of
the Toronto Blessing? What is your view on these subjects?

See the answer to #20.

23. Are you familiar with the Purpose Driven and Emerging Church models
and methods? If yes, summarize your views concerning them.

See the answer to #20.

Also, Rick Warren belongs to the Council on Foreign Relations, which is a New
World Order organization advocating a one world leader, government, economy, and
religion.
24. Give a brief explanation of your beliefs concerning:

a. The integration of psychology and the Christian faith.

b. The place of psychology in the Church.
c. The compatibility of psychological theory and divine revelation (the
Bible).

I dont believe that psychology and Bible doctrine are compatible teachings. I
believe that the Bible will solve most psychological problems today, with the
exception of extreme cases requiring medication. I believe that if the world
would recognize that psychological problems are really sin, then its
problems would be solved using the Bible for counseling.

25. What is Biblical counseling? Do you ascribe to the view that the Scriptures
applied by the Holy Spirit are sufficient to meet peoples needs spiritually,
emotionally and mentally? If no, please explain.

See the answer to #24.

Yes, I do.

26. What are your views regarding divorce and remarriage among Christians?
Please support your views with Scripture.

Its a pretty sad state of affairs when the rate of divorce among the Church is the
same as that of the world (50% and higher). Jesus states that there are only two
reasons for divorce: (1) for adultery (sexual immorality) and (2) for a spouse who is
an unbeliever and refuses to change. (Matt. 19:4-9; Rom. 7:1-3; I Cor. 7:10-15)

27. What is your understanding of the pastors role?

Jesus told Peter, Feed my sheep. (Matt. 21:15-17) The pastoral epistles of I and II
Timothy and Titus deal primarily with the pastoral care, oversight, and organization
of the church, and they tell believers how they to behave in the house of God.

28. What is the role of the pastors wife?

The pastors wife is to be an adherer to Proverbs 31. See also I Timothy 2:9-15.

29. What are your beliefs concerning the pastors personal and ministerial financial
management responsibilities? How should these be reflected in the pastors
lifestyle? What are your beliefs concerning fund raising and receiving tithes and
offerings?

Paul is a prime example of how a pastor should live his life. I truly believe this! As
to tithing, God commanded it in the Old Testament (Lev. 27:30-32; Num. 18:26;
Deut. 16:12-13; II Chron. 31:5-6; Mal. 3:10) and it is discussed in the New Testament
(II Cor. 9:6-8; Phil. 4:14-17) As to fundraising, if God didnt discuss it, I dont need
to do it.

30. Please give a brief testimony of your call to pastoral ministry.

It is rather interesting to see what God has done in my life. I was raised in a good
home, private Christian schooling, and raised a conservative Episcopalian. However,
it was just a ritualistic relationship that I had with God. It took the death of my
parents, the end of a successful career, and seven years in madness to bring me to my
knees before I had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Some of us have to broken (several times over) and I was just that sort of person. I
had to have everything taken away from me before I could acknowledge that I was
sinning against a Holy God, and that I was a sinner (even though I grew up
knowing the Trinity). I had to be broken and contrite. I had to repent. That was
ugly, as was my life. The life I was taught to live did not necessarily reflect the life
that I was living. Quite unfortunate in one way, but quite knowledgeable in another.
Gods way!

I have been through death, drugs, alcohol, bankruptcy, moral depravity (only with
females!), and the list goes on and onI think I pretty much covered the list in
Galatians Chapter 5.

However, God chose me for some reason, not my own. I have experienced all that
life has to offer and realized that it was all for nought! What a waste of time? Or was
it? For in Gods eyes, I gained an education, and know how to relate to people on
their own terms and conditions. Ive been there, done that.

After having experienced Calvary Chapel Romoland with Pastor Gerry Brown, there
was no turning back. I have always hungered for knowledge and truth, and that was
what Pastor Gerry was turning out, as was most of the Calvary Chapels in the
Southern California area.

I know what a conservative Calvary Chapel is, and I will not deviate from it. With all
of the time that I have been graciously afforded by Pastor Cobb, Im sure that I have
been given great advice. I have been told by him that God doesnt make mistakes,
only we do. I know hes right, but am I ready for the challenge? God apparently
thinks so. I didnt chose this situation; I was merely looking for the Calvary Chapel
that I left in Southern California, and I finally found it.

Will we be a Calvary Chapel? ONLY if we adhere to the BIBLE, and to the way
Calvary Chapel is done in Southern California. I think we forget our heritage and
what we stand for. The truth is never popular! And neither will we be, but this is our
calling! Its my calling!
So, with all of this being said, am I ready? No one ever is that is called. God just
throws you in, and you get burned for awhile, and thats okay. I was never a believer
in those who adheeded to academia! If you want to know how it works, you have to
get your hands dirty!

So, lets get dirty, because the world is dirty; we are dirty. But, its our calling to go
out there in the filth like Jesus did, and do it like Jesus did. I didnt choose this; He
did. So, I have to obey
