CHYMORAL PLUS

1. What is Chymoral Plus?


Chymoral Plus is a sugarcoated tablet of Trypsin: Chymotrypsin (6:1),
50,000 A. U. and Diclofenac Potassium 50 mg. Trypsin: Chymotrypsin &
Diclofenac Potassium is designed as enteric-coated and immediate release
tablet formulation respectively, which is given orally. STARTEC (Stomach
Acid Resistance Technology), Technology avoids maximum GI side effects.

2. What is the active ingredient?


Trypsin and Chymotrypsin and Diclofenac Potassium.

3. How is it available?
Chymoral Plus is available in blister strip of 10’s.

4. What are its indications or uses?


In Minor trauma related to:
 Surgery: Post-operative wounds, Oedema & Haematoma, Prevention of
inflammation due to stitches

 Gynaecology: PID, Caesarean section, Episiotomy, Abdominal


Hysterectomy

 Orthopaedics: Post-traumatic oedema, soft tissue injury, Fractures &


dislocation, Sports injury, Sprains & Strains

 Dentistry: Tooth Extraction, Periapical abscess, Maxillofacial surgery

 ENT: Auricular Septal haematoma, Nasal fractures, Parapharyngeal


abscess
5. What is the right dosage?
1 tablet 2-3 times a day or as directed by physician.

6. What is to be done in case of a missed dosage?


Take as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the
missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.

7. What are the precautions while taking the product?


In patients with a history of sensitivity to enzymes or other drugs, caution
should be exercised. In pregnancy caution should be exercised.

8. Which drugs should be avoided along with it?


These are natural body enzymes with very rare interaction with other drugs.

9. Who cannot take the medicine?


 Supplemental enzymes are contraindicated in those hypersensitive
to any component of an enzyme-containing preparation.
 Those who wish to use supplemental enzymes for any indication
should first discuss their use with their physicians.
 Pregnant women and nursing mothers should avoid supplemental
enzymes unless prescribed by their physicians.
 Those on anticoagulants or antithrombotic agents should be
cautious in the use of bromelain. Bromelain may have blood-
thinning activity in some.

10. What is the time of taking the medicine, dosage and the usual duration?
The product should be preferably consumed on empty stomach or 1 hour
before meals in the above-mentioned dosage for 7 to 10 days.
11. What are the possible common and rare adverse effects of the
medicine?
Generally, Chymoral Plus is well tolerated. However, certain effects can be
seen, occasional gastric disturbance may occur.

12. How to store the medicine?


Store in a cool & dry place.
