family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each others life. - Unknown In The Bonds Between Us.. Through all the texts, we find that not only the human race, but animals and even objects can help us form bonds. We learn this by forming the slightest connection of sympathy towards one another. As a society, humans may look and act different but just being part of the race is already a bond. Many animals follow what others of the same kind do, such as birds flying in the same direction. And of course, objects as well play a very important role in bonds due to the feeling of a flashback of sorts. There are more things in common than many think, and shows the many bonds between us. One of the major conflicts that can prevent people
from bonding with each other is racism. Judging someone by color can cause harm to bonds because one might feel out of place because of their skin color. Racism is everywhere around the globe, however there are ways to stop it. For example, when you look at a person, you do not need to judge them based on skin color, but rather who they are as a person based on their personality. This is related to the theme because we are all bonded through being human no matter skin color, gender, or age. Works cited Allende, Isabel. "And of Clay Are We Created." CA Collections.
