When the infinite focuses on a body it feels finite

"As long as you do not see that it is mere habit, built on memory, prompted by desire, you will
think yourself to be a person...

Keep on remembering: I am neither the mind nor its ideas. Do it patiently and with conviction and
you will surely come to the direct vision of yourself as the source of being- knowing-loving, eternal,
all-embracing, all-pervading. You are the infinite focused in a body. Now you see the body only. Try
earnestly and you will see the infinite only." -Nisargadatta Maharaj

MICHAEL: Please read slowly, earnestly, and with conviction! (And then repeat several times so
that it has a chance to really sink in (and printing it out and reading it daily even better!). Just
reading once quickly and then moving on to the next facebook post will yield very little of the fruits
this pointer by Maharaj has to offer the earnest seeker who yearns for liberation.)

Maharaj's final days

MICHAEL: Because his body was dying of cancer, Maharaj only a few days left and as such only
had the energy to speak for a few minutes. Thus, by his own admission, he was not wasting any
time/energy on extraneous words. Therefore, his pointers near the end, such as this one, were
particular potent and had diamond like directness:

"Do you not see how ridiculous all this is? Your coming here day after day only shows that you are
not prepared to accept my word that there is no such thing as an 'individual'; that the 'individual' is
nothing but an appearance; that an appearance cannot have any 'bondage' and, therefore, there is
no question of any 'liberation' for an appearance." -Nisargadatta

Truth is eternal. Knowledge is changeable. It is disastrous to confuse them. -Madeliene L'Engle
