Responsar 2.5 is a water-based suspension concentrate
containing betacyfluthrin (25 g/l) broad spectrum
residual insecticidal activity on surfaces. Responsar 2.5
is non-staining, non-tainting, virtually odourless and
biodegradable.
Directions For Use
Responsar 2.5 is suitable for the control of crawling and
flying insects in commercial enterprises and foodstuffs
operations, offices, factories and warehouses, schools,
canteens, apartment buildings, animal stalls, ships,
airplanes, etc.
Responsar is ideal for the control of pests such as
cockroaches (Blattaria), ants (Formicidae), silverfish
(Lepismatidae), crickets (Gryllidae), bed bugs
(Cimicidae), fleas (Pulicidae), flies (Muscidae),
mosquitoes (Culicidae), moths (Lepidoptera),
Dermestidae, Ptiniidae and others.
Crawling insects
Cockroach hiding places (such as behind moldings,
sink skirting boards, ovens and cupboards) must be
thoroughly treated from close proximity. In controlling
cockroaches, hiding places must be sprayed with a
barrier of between 0.6 - 1 m (spaying the hiding places
alone is not sufficient for extermination). In some
cases it may be necessary to treat the whole room.
While a typical application will suffice for the German
cockroach, Oriental and American cockroaches generally
require two treatments, four to six weeks apart.
Wherever possible, the spray should be applied away from
areas which are frequently cleaned with water, such as for
reasons of food hygiene. In every case, barrier spraying
should be allowed to take effect for 24 hours. Results of
cockroach control inspections are not conclusive until no
earlier than 3 days after product application.
Spray the tracks of ants which find their way into
buildings (e.g. Lasius niger). It is also sensible to treat
the outside area in order to prevent additional workers
from entering the facility.
Flea infestations require treatment of the area
surrounding the animals preferred resting spots. In
some cases, overall application may be necessary.

Flying insects (mosquitoes, flies)
Careful treatment is called for around heavily
frequented areas such as windows and door frames,
rafters, walls etc. Responsar 2.5 is not effective against
pyrethroid-resistant domestic flies (Musca domestica).
Warnings
Treated areas can be decontaminated if required using
a 2-3% soda solution. Use a suitable cleanser for
furniture and carpets.
Contact a doctor immediately at any sign of poisoning.
Symptomatic treatment. Antidote unknown. The pest
control agent can cause burning or itching if contacted
by skin (especially of the face), with no outward sign of
irritation. This reaction must be taken as a warning: any
further contact with the product must be avoided. See a
doctor if symptoms do not go away or if they reappear.

dry, and only in its original container, tightly closed.
Do not place in containers intended for food or drink.
Do not spray people, pets, decorative plants or
food-supplying animals. Cover foodstuffs carefully
(e.g. with suitable plastic wrap) or remove from the
treatment area.
Protective gloves and clothing are to be worn during
application. Wear appropriate breathing apparatus
when spraying (full face mask with A2-P3 filter).

of water and wash with soap.
