produced 30 years of dedicated commercial
vessel design to the industry and are now
regarded as one of Europes leading design firms. The
company has established an international reputation
for innovative and practical design of working craft
and the proven fleet grows year on year. To celebrate,
Camarc have produced a 30 year

FIRST OF CLASS EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS

C
amarcs 30 Years of innovative design evolution has resulted in the latest model
for a new range; Petra 1 a 45m 30 Knot aluminium triple screw Crewboat. This
is the first of two 45m vessels to be built by Triangle Shipyard of Dubai. The
45m is the flagship of the new Camarc Crewboat range and features a newly developed
hull design to improve operator efficiencies and crew comfort. Exceeding expectations
Petra 1 achieved over 30 knots on trials offering improved efficiencies over competitors
in the market. To full BV Class with an onerous unrestricted notation there has been
no compromise in the all-aluminium structure, fit-out and systems onboard. Large
personnel, deck cargo, water and fuel capacities feature on this vessel and throughout
the new Camarc Crewboat range.

OPERATORS ORDER MORE MAGIC NUMBER 8

3x NEW UK 19M STEEL PILOT BOATS NO. 8 OF THE CAMARC 25M FLEET UNDER BUILD

t. Brides, the first of a 3-boat order of 19m
Steel Pilot Boats to be built by Mainstay Marine
Solutions for the Port of Milford Haven. The new
pilot boat fleet is the second generation of Camarc Design
pilot boats for the port authority. The twin screw vessels are
capable of reaching operational speeds of 15 knots and are
designed to be used in heavy weather operating in swells of
up to 6m significant wave height. One of the new vessels is
due to be on show at the Seawork 2016 exhibition.
oatbuilders Tehnomont Brodogradilite of Croatia have recently been
awarded a contract for the construction of a further 25m aluminium Patrol
vessel for the Croatian Maritime Police. The first vessel built by Tehnomont
was successfully delivered in 2012 to the same customer. This contract marks number
8 of the Camarc 25m fleet with previous vessels having also been built for the Royal
Malaysian Police and Royal Gibraltar Police. With the Camarc double chine hull, twin
propeller propulsion, 28 Knots and a range of 600 nautical miles this design offers a
capable platform for surveillance and security forces to patrol their territorial waters.
An intercept RIB and dive platform further expand the vessel roles and capabilities.

SANMAR BUILDING CAMARC PILOT BOATS

S
anmar, the well know tug builder in Turkey have

delivered a 16m Camarc pilot boat as part of a multi
vessel contract for Smit Lamnalco. This is the latest
Camarc steel Pilot Boat to be delivered to the Middle East with
five of this 16m class and two of the 21m class already working
in Saudi Arabia. Built to BV Class the craft has a steel hull,
aluminium superstructure and achieves speeds in excess of 20
Knots. A new Camarc 15m model is also now under build at the
Sanmar facility.
T
he Camarc - Kvichak partnership over many years has resulted in
the build of close to 200 aluminium vessels for various US operators
including the US Coastguard, NYPD and various high profile pilotage
authorities. This latest collaboration, however, sees two 19m 26 Knot vessels being
delivered to the Port of DUQM in Oman. The vessels were required to have a multi-
role capability; a primary role of pilotage with a secondary role as Search & Rescue
and Oil Spill Recovery vessels. The large aft deck allows for the installation of a
deck crane, skimmer and reel mounted oil boom.

CLOSER TO HOME
UK MOD BOAT NO. 12

H
olyhead Marine has successfully completed a 12 boat
fleet of 15m 30 Knot Camarc patrol vessels for the
UK MOD operating at the Faslane Naval Base and
surrounding areas of the Clyde. Regularly seen from the Camarc
Argyll office window this fleet escorts the MOD submarines and
naval ships and patrols the Firth of Clyde.
