Character Interview

Character: Romeo

The interview is held secretly during a summer day in Verona. Its the perfect summer
day. The weathers beautiful, birds are chirping and everyone seems to be going about
their day. Romeo has long brown hair, hazel eyes, and nice white teeth.

On the night of the Capulet feast/ party when you crashed it, how did you feel entering
uninvited?

As a Montague, I know I was unwanted and uninvited. I felt crazy for doing this, knowing
what could have happened. The prince was serious of is warning, but if I did not take
this risk, I would have not met my true love Juliet.

1. When you found out that Juliet was a Capulet, why did you decide to keep pursuing
for her love?

After finding out that Juliet was a Capulet, I was shocked, but did not care. I forgot about
Rosaline, and Juliet replaced. Being a Montague; I should not have felt this way, but my
heart was making me. She is perfect, and I knew from that moment I met her my life is
not complete without her. Allowing me to fall in love with her.

2. After meeting Juliet has your attitude changed towards Capulets, and if so how has it
evolved?

Montagues and Capulets dislike one another. Capulets are my enemy, but that changed
when I met Juliet. This is because I am now married to a Capulet, Juliet. I now have no
hatred towards Capulets, I respect them. There is only one I did not like, Tybalt. For
killing Mercutio. I will never kill another Capulet, but I had to in that situation. I do regret
it every much because now my life has changed for the worst.

3. When Juliet has known you for so little time. Why do you think she values your life
more then Tybalts?

It does not matter that we have not know each other for as long as she has known
Tybalt. Juliet and I were meant to be together. I was not shocked that she cared more
for me then Tybalt. The love we have is more valuable then ten thousand of him. I am
her true love. Nothing should be more valuable to her then me, and vice versa.

4. How do you feel about your banishment from Verona? Do you agree with the Princes
decision? and do you believe he may change his mind?

I can not believe this has happened to me, my great reputation is now ruined. I feel that
my banishment is un needed. I was only trying to follow the Princes wishes for keeping
the peace of Verona. Now I lost a friend, and I am banished. I do not like the Prince. I
feel that the prince is not going to change his mind, he is a man of his word. Now my life
is over, I will not be able to see Juliet.
