without oss ot design harmony. A variety of downlights, e lipsoida s, sllverbow s, mercury units and
wa washers can effective y be intermingled to produce specific photometric results in a single instal ation
and Vet malntain overall consistency in aperture appearance and size identity. To insure conformity in
cel ing patterning of lights, for examp e, a champagne gold cone in a six and three quarter inch aperture
could be mounted for standard downl ghting throughout a given location, whi e around the perlmeter of
the area the combination dual reflector units could be used to provide both wa I lumlnation and
downlighting. These wall washing units, when proper y spaced, offer even distribution of light wlthout
scal oping. These unique unlts are but a portion of the extensive follo col ection comprlsing over two
hundred and fiftv cata og items. ln addition to the go d cone there are clear and b ack Alzak cones and
I matte black and muted grey baff es in round aperture units as we as extruded b ack or grey baffles in
square apertu res.

comparatlve quality, but good workmanship is self-evident and the products themse ves reveal the care and

- ln the engineering deveopment of Folio, performance dictated design, but an

awaTeness of the critical energy shortage was also an essential consideration. Two solutions in particu ar
were given emphasis: H.l.D. sources and designs photometrically constructed to accommodate incandescent
'A' lamps, having high lumen per watt ratio. A ow cost 150 watt 'A' lamp with 2880 lumens (750 hours
lamp ife) produces better coor rendition and 19.2 lumens per watt efficacy, as compared to a 150 watt
B40 f Lood (2000 hours amp life) with 1870 umens producing 12.46 lumens per watt. Units in the Folio
co lections are availab e for both horlzontal and vertical mounting of 'A' lamps exclusive y as wel as the
standard downlights being designed to achieve exce lence of performance with either 'Atype' lamps or
reflector lamps. The H.l.D. source, however, is the ultlmate in energy conservation with 175 watt mercury

lamp, for example, at 8600 lumens producing 49 lumens per watt. Marco was a pioneer in recessed mercury

vapor ighting before the nation faced the critical need of conserving its resources. lts engineering acumen

A.LAMP DOWNLIGHTS
Fixture is photometrically engineered and designed specifically for
the use of economical A-type lamps. These highly efficient units
have the advantage of low maintenance and are ideal in areas of
normal ceiling height and are particularly recommended for motels,
restaurants, shops, stores, offices, banks or in any commercial
installation where large maintenance departments are not staffed.

HORIZONTAL LAMP DOWN LIGHTS

and designed specifically for areas where recessing depth is limited.

These hiqhly efficient units are excellent for motels, restaurants,
shops, stores, offices, banks and other commercial installations
where ease of maintenance is important. Narrow disposable trim

advantages of mercury vapor illumination with photornetrically
engineered ellipsoidal reflectors. lvlarco, an established leader in
appeal, in addition to performance. Durable and quality
construction features inclLrde die cast balLast enclosures with
integral heat dissipating fins, high power factor ballasts, extruded
heat sinks, Alzak reflectors and baffles. Baffles are easily installed
and secured with GripKlip locking. Top access is standard. A
narrow square trim frame is furnished for rough ceiling cut'out and
may be discarded for flush mounting.

base socket, h.p.f. auto'stabilized core and coil ballast and
capacitor mounted in separate thermal compartments in die cast

Trim assembly consists of square extruded aluminum baffle in
matte black or muted grey finish and narrgw disposable trim frame
finished in low qloss white paint.
Fixture is furnished as standard without J-box. For optional |"
