The Universal Exit by Marco suits any Exit in-
stallation by way of its simple versatile
design. Single or double face units feature
knock-outs {or a common housing applicable

to end, ceiling or pendant mounting, The

single face unit aiso has a finished back
panel with knock-outs for surface wall moun-
ting. Downlighting is standard on the single

and double face unils. A recessd unit is Mount

Construction of the Universal Exit housing

frame is of durable extruded aluminum for
light weight and maximum strength. The
stenciled aluminum Exit face snaps securely
in place with a tension clip, but is easily
removed for relamping. Standard voltage is.
120V, but single and double circuit 277V a(e
available as options. Specify /25 for single Ceiling

cicutl 277V and /50 for double circuit.
The Universal Exit is furnished with a
disposable canopy for end or ceiling moun-
ting, or pendant mounling with the available
pendanl kit (see next page). Six attractive
finish options are available to complement
any installation. Special economical
1OWfi61/z lamps are supplied for incandes-
cent units (which are also suitable lor Recessed
2O\N Vzf61/z lamps - by others). Fluorescent
units are furnished with 4W/T5 lamps.
Because these are lower wattage lamps with

longer rated lamp lifes, economy and infre-
quent maintenance are assu red.

 Features
Marco-Pak
The Marco-Pak is an emergency power supply kit. The
sturdy aluminum housing can be easily mounted to the
top of the single or double face, incandescent or fluores-
cent Universal Exit light to provide emergency power to
the exit face and downlight in the event of a power
{ailure. When the emergency power kicks in, the Exit
light will flash accompanied by a beeping sound. A con-
stantly charging batlery pack will provide emergency
operation for over 90 minutes. System check by an LED
monitor and test switch button which, when pressed, in-
terrupts AC power. Releasing the button allows AC
operation to continue. Standard features include a 6 volt
sealed lead-acid battery pack, solid state circuit board
and a dual tap transformer for 120V ot 277V operation,
thus relieving the need Iot lhe 277V transformer canopy.
The Marco-Pak may be used with the optional pendant
kit.

Pendant Kit
The optional pendant kit for the Universal Exit is an easy
design alternative to wall, ceiling, or recessed mounled
exits. The Universal's aluminum housing has a top knock-
out and extra long leads for on-the-spot pendant installa-
tion. Specify 124 when ordering {or 12" stem. For addi-
tional stem length, also specify /34 and indicate total
length in inches.

Finishes
The Universal Exit light is available in a
variety of finishes to suit any design needs.
Black, white, medium bronze and satin
aluminum are offered in same or mixed
housing and face finishes. See next page for
ordering details.

Knock-Out Arrows
Arrow knock-outs are provided on the stencil
faces so that they may be set on site. Simply
punch oul one, both or none for the specific
application.

Different Wording
So that the designer may maintain consisten-
cy in tixture appearance throughout an in-
stallation, Marco offers other wording for il-
luminated signage. Available in stencil face
with knock-out arrow selection are: Ladies,
Men, Restroom, Fire Escape, Stairs, and ln
Use. To order special wordings, consull the
factory or your Marco Representative.

Edgelights provide an alternative design ele-
ment to the Universal Exits. The Edgelight is
constructed ot sturdy extruded aluminum
with an inscription panel of acrylic plexlglass.
The Marco Edgelight is offered in four basic
mounts: end, ceiling, recessed, and wall

The fluorescent options for the Edgelight Exit
include both trigger-start and starter-type
ballasts for one or lwo lamps in 1 20V or
