Agency overview
Transport for NSW is the centrepiece of a reshaped transport cluster. It is responsible for setting the strategic
direction and guiding an extended network of public and private service delivery agencies to deliver improved
transport outcomes.

Primary purpose of the role


The Project Support Officer provides administrative support to the Branch. This includes secretarial and
executive support, diary and records management, document tracking and handling routine correspondence
that supports the day to day operations of the management team. Other responsibilities include the
compilation, distribution and maintenance of documentation relating to various executive project governance
forums.

Key accountabilities
Live the NSW Public Sector and organisational values to achieve outstanding outcomes for the
organisation and customers
Provide a high level of administrative support to ensure that workflow is managed efficiently and effectively.
Provide administrative support to meetings, ensuring agenda and minutes are issued promptly and that all
follow action is initiated.
Provide an efficient telephone reception service to ensure that customer service obligations are met.
Provide an efficient document and record management system to ensure that information and requests for
information can be located at any time and that matters requiring action are completed by the due date.
Provide a high level of keyboard service to ensure that documents that are prepared are accurate, are
presented well and meet the Branch protocols for preparing correspondence and reports.
Collate, analyse and draft information to assist with briefings and reports.

Essential requirements

Experience in providing high quality administrative support to a Senior Executive.


High level administrative and secretarial experience including diary and workload management, proven
capacity to manage filing and submission systems.
