INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE AT STATE DEPARTMENT FOR

WATER SERVICES, MINISTRY OF WATER AND IRRIGATION

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation, State Department of Water Services has declared twenty five
(25) Internship Opportunities as follows:-

1. ENGINEER II (WATER, SEWERAGE & SANITATION) - (4 POSITIONS)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution

2. ENGINEER II (WATER INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT) - (4 POSITIONS)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution

3. GEOLOGIST (WATER) - (3 POSITIONS)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science Degree in any of the following disciplines: Geology, Engineering Geology,
Geophysics, Geochemistry from or its equivalent from a recognized institution

4. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY - (2 POSITIONS)

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or ICT from a recognized institution

5. HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT OFFICER - (5 POSITIONS)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Social Science such as Government, Sociology, Economics,
Public/Business Administration, Human Resource/Personnel Management or any other relevant
qualification from a recognized institution.

6. ACCOUNTANT - (2 POSITIONS)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration
(Accounting Option) or any other relevant qualification a recognized institution.

7. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICER - (2 POSITIONS)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines;- Commerce, Business Administration
(Supply Management Option), Economics, Procurement and Supply Management, Marketing or
their equivalent from a recognized institution.

8. ASSISTANT SECRETARY - (3 POSITIONS)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in any Social Science or its equivalent qualification from recognized
institution.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS THAT SUCCESSFUL INTERNS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE IN LINE WITH
THE INTERNSHIP POLICY AND GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC SERVICE DATED MAY, 2016
Valid certificate of good conduct;
Personal accident insurance and a valid medical insurance cover e.g. NHIF
Copy of PIN certificate;
Copy ID Card or Passport; and
Two (2) colour passport size photographs

INTERNSHIP PERIOD: Three (3) to Twelve (12) months
