Using Automobile CO2 Emissions as

Biofuel

Recycling/Feeding CO2 to Grow Algae

and Produce Algae Biomass

Rod Morley
Imagine

 Imagine…. Driving your old clunker of a car, truck or

motorbike down any street in London.
 Imagine….. Driving your old clunker without
releasing any emissions into the atmosphere.
 Imagine….Your old clunker being much quieter while
driving it.
 Imagine…. Improving your mileage from every tank
of gas by at least 20%
Stop Imagining! Do It!

 Ma’in Sinan, an automotive engineer has

developed, successfully tested and patented
worldwide a system that captures
compresses and stores a vehicle’s exhaust.
 This technology can be installed on any type
of vehicle new or used
 At this time we are looking to take this
technology to the next level
New Technologies

 Feeding the CO2 by using on board

bioreactors to grow algae and harvest the
algae biomass to create of products that are
derived from biomass
 These by products could be used for many
purposes new pharmaceutical products, new
food products, and natural fertilizers for the
soil or feed for livestock as well as biofuel
New Organization

 These ideas are new to Canada. In order to

educate Canadians to what algae biomass
can do for our energy use and the
environment we are now in the process of
creating a Non Profit Organization, NABA.
 NABA stands for the National Algae Biomass
Association
About NABA

 NABA’s mandate is to educate Canadians on the

many benefits of developing from the use of algae
biomass to create energy and products
 NABA also will bring new companies together that
are working with algae biomass and to help them
share new ideas and business strategies.
 The other goal of NABA is to help create awareness
and markets for the new products created by algae
biomass
Working Model

 We hope to have a working model of our

technology, including working bioreactors
ready to drive from London to Cancun,
Mexico in time for the U.N. Climate Talks in
December this year.
 There we can show the world what London,
Ontario can accomplish
The Economic Benefits:

 Starting a new Canadian high technology

industry here in London
 Having both a commercial industry and a Not
For Profit Organization creating thousands
of high tech jobs for London
 The creation of a algae biomass research
facility to assist in increasing yields
More Economic Benefits

 The possible creation of manufacturing

facilities for the production of products
derived from the algae by products
 The technology and the manufacturing
processes will be exported around the world
with licensing agreements
More Economic Benefits

 Having London being a leader in a new

technology over any other Canadian City
 Collaborating with U.W.O.’s research into
algae biomass, possibly adding to their
efforts to bring their research to market
regarding algae biomass
The Environmental Benefits:

 London will be ground zero for a new

technology
 This technology will eliminate exhaust from
vehicles
 The worldwide total of CO2 released by
vehicles accounts for almost 25%(over 10bil
tons of CO2) of worldwide CO2 emissions
(over 36bil ton)
More Environmental Benefits

 Eliminating 25% of the worldwide CO2

emissions would assist the world in
exceeding the CO2 emissions cuts laid out in
the Kyoto Protocols
 Improved air quality worldwide
 Possibly aiding in the reduction of or
reducing the severity of cases of asthma,
lung cancer, emphysema and airborne
allergies
More Environmental Benefits:

 Reducing in the reduction of worldwide air

temperatures
 Increasing the efficiency of every fill up by at
least 20% with the production of on board bio
fuel supplementing each tank of gas
More Environmental Benefits

 The leading to production of products derived

from algae biomass that could improve soil
qualities which could increase crop yields
 The leading to the production of products of
high nutrient value derived from algae
biomass that could supplement the nutritional
needs of populations around the world (food
verses fuel)
Economic and Environmental Benefits

 In Europe, carbon credits for reducing the

amount of carbon released into the
atmosphere is established
 Exchanging carbon credits will probably be
established world wide
More Environmental and Economic
Benefits

 Our system will allow Governments, companies and

even individuals to quantify their carbon use and
allow themselves to generate funds while reducing
carbon emissions worldwide
 Individuals can become empowered and add to their
income by purchasing a license for our technology
and selling their biomass while reducing
expenditures on conventional fuel
Conclusions

 We want NABA to help put London, Ontario

on the map
 We want NABA to make London a world
leader in algae biomass production
Conclusions

 We believe we can create thousands of high

tech jobs for Londoners
 We believe we can help the people of the
world to empower themselves and create
wealth from would normally be wasted into
our atmosphere
 We believe we have to succeed
How You Can Help

 Our bus that will receive a great amount of

exposure in Cancun during the climate talks
and on the trip to Cancun
 Companies can advertise on our bus, please
see us for information and pricing
 Individuals as well as companies can join
NABA. Our supporter rate is $100.00
