NIT Sikkim invites applications from eligible brilliant candidates for Project Faculty
(Visiting), Project Associate & Project Assistant under SMDP C2SD and full time
research scholar under Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme in Microelectronics and VLSI
design and IT, sponsored by Department of Electronics and Information Technology,
Govt. of India and under Institute Scholarship scheme. This is a special scheme with the

disturbing his/her engagement in the project.

How to apply?

Eligible and/or shortlisted applicants seeking admission under this scheme will be required to
appear in a Written Test and/or Interview. Candidates are advised to send scanned copies
of signed applications, on prescribed forms must be sent via email. All relevant certificates
and mark sheets along with scanned copy of DD of Rs 500/-. (Rs. 300/- for SC/ST
candidates) in favour of Director, NIT Sikkim, payable at SBI Ravangla Code- 007218
latest by 5th April, 2016 to the email address firca.nitsikkim@gmail.com. The candidate must
mention specifically for which project(s) he/she is applying. Following the project applied for
as first priority, the candidate will need to pay Rs.300/- (Rs.100 for SC/ST candidates), by
DD, for each of the project(s) applied in order of priority (see application form point 1).

Candidates are required to bring their original testimonials (e.g. certificates and mark sheets)
at the time of written test/interview for verification.

Venue and time of written test and/or Interview will be intimated to the shortlisted
candidates by email.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST:
The complete application must be accompanied by the following self attested documents:

i) Photocopy of marksheets/Grade cards of secondary, higher secondary board and other


university examinations.
ii) Photocopy of GATE/NET Score card.
iii) Photocopy of proof of date of birth.
iv) Photocopy of proper community certificate (SC/ST/OBC) from a competent authority (not
below the rank of a Tahsildar), if applicable.
v) OBC candidates, certificate (creamy layer), must be issued on or after 1st April, 2014.

The decision of the selection committee will be final in the admission/joining process.
