RE: CEASE AND DESIST; NOTICE OF INTENT TO SUE FOR DEFAMATION

Dear Mr. VeneKlausen,

Unfortunately, just I have had to do with you in the past, I need to raise the issue of your
inability to be honest and truthful. In a similar fashion to the concerns I raised about
your incorrect statements made in testimony to a committee of Congress, I must now bring
to your attention to the blatant lies that you have published to the public concerning Land
Commissioner Aubrey Dunn and the SunZia transmission line. In the interest of giving
you the benefit of the doubt that you are not now purposefully being dishonest and
publishing false defamatory statements please take note of the following so that you have
full notice of the truth:

1. September 2014: Aubrey and Robin Dunn contracted to buy the Gran Quivira
Ranch with no knowledge of SunZia being sited there.

2. They closed on the ranch December 1, 2014 and were given a letter by one of the
previous owners that SunZia was contemplating a route in the area, but did not say
it was going traverse the ranch. At that time, no route had been determined.

3. In January 2015, BLM issued their record of decision declaring the route of the
SunZia transmission line, and the ROD has remained the same.

4. Commissioner Dunn hasnt received any money and has not given SunZia a right of
entry.

5. Commissioner Dunn had no input into the routing of SunZia.

6. Former commissioners Pat Lyons, Ray Powell and the BLM determined the route.

With the record straight now as to the facts, a continued publication of the slanderous
statements that you have made will constitute a knowing act on your behalf to continue to
make false statements with the intent to harm the reputation of Aubrey Dunn. As such, if
you persist in engaging in your defamatory conduct in a malicious effort to lie to the public
we will pursue injunctive relief and damages against you personally and any organization
that republishes your dishonest statements. Immediately CEASE and DESIST from the
continued publication of the dishonest defamatory statements you have made in order to
avoid having a lawsuit brought against you.
