educational process. The work shows that evaluation has the potential of
psychologically defining a significant portion of school life and students
progress as it should be applied in a conscious, competent and reasonable
way, in order to contribute to the construction of a less stigmatizing and
stereotyped evaluation. We conclude pointing that school evaluation should
create or promote psychological and pedagogic conditions which are more
favorable to the students personal and school growth as well as to the qualitative
development of the teaching-learning process.
