These two simple words may starts something that can be treasured for everlasting.
We may be have various and personal reasons why we are here, but above all of
these reasons is the chance for all of us to meet someone that will give us the new
meaning for our existence to the emancipation of life.
Celebration like this opens up every one of us the world of treasuring friends; the
previous people we met will be our gold and the new will be our silver and bronze.
This is the encapsulated know-how of having this gathering. We, momentarily have
to pause from our daily bread..reading, sordid headlines involving all unfavourable
newsbits.
This is a meaningful day especially for those who love and those who are loved by
someone special. Seeing happy faces and elegant dresses this afternoon makes me
believe that surely, you and me just like everyone else know that all our hearts are
keeping memorable precious moments. We all are guilty of loving. We all are happy
that we have experienced the joy of loving and caring.

The account of historians about St. Valentine is not new to many of us. It is a
beautiful story of love, a story of hope, an inspiration, a fancy story of
affection, and a story of devotion. Saint Valentine's Day, commonly
shortened to Valentine's Day is an annual commemoration held on
February 14 celebrating love and affection. Some of the symbols that remind
us of this day include the heart, doves, flowers, chocolates, candies and the
figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines
have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.

Legend has it that Valentine was a priest who served during third century
Rome. There was an Emperor at that time by the name of Claudius II.
Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those
that were married. With this thought in mind he outlawed marriage for young
men in hopes of building a stronger military base. Supposedly, Valentine,
decided this decree just wasn't fair and chose to marry young couples
secretly. When Emperor Claudius II found out about Valentine's actions he
had him put to death.

Another legend has it that Valentine was an imprisoned man who fell in love
with his jailor's daughter. Before he was put to death he sent the first
'valentine' himself when he wrote her a letter and signed it 'Your Valentine',
words still used on cards today.

Because of Valentine, some people devote themselves in finding the meaning of

love.. for what is love? Truly, it must be the reason for the glow in the eyes of
everyone here. It must be the secret whisper that your heart and mine can hear. It
must be the motive behind our reason for living. In short, some people may say
that this is why the world never stops to go around the sun. Love is truly a
wonderful thing, a many splendored thing according to the words of an old song.
And yet, its story shall forever live in all our hearts.
The life of St. Valentine teaches us not to be afraid to love and be love, this is an
intangible chain that reminds all of us that life is beautiful. Never be afraid to open
up our life to meet someone that would beneficially will help us to grow, and we
should never take them for granted. We have also to enjoy and treasure every
single detail of this occasion for whatever ha take place will never come to pass
again, that everything in so far as it exists in time and space is in the constant
process of becoming. We all knew that this very day will never be the same moment
after its transit from one figment to another; that this gathering can never be
recreated exactly the same way it is done now.
The affection from our friends or from special someone is the ingredient that spice
up our adventures to the challenges of times. Good friends genuinely cheer up on
our triumph, motivate us when we are in our deepest and darkest hour and fake
friends are like leeches that sucks all the best in us and leave us in times of our
needs.
The imperative meaning of friendships and its essence leaves a memento that will
never fades it may be engulf with the clouds of confusions and doubts but we have
to accept that it is a part to test and challenge how strong the intangible bonds of
every relationships.
How grateful its ones existence to have someone that will makes you feel as if you
are important molecule of others becoming, making you a part of his/her family, a
family that were harmoniously made not by blood but by heart.
As we meet new person, be his/her inspirations that goes beyond the meaning of
life: after all, all of us is larger than life. Be the guiding light to those people who
are in the storms and in the surges of troubles, remind him that every after storms,
a rainbow appears. Be an understanding buddy to your friends shortcomings,
instead of blaming him/her, enlightens him/her for the lessons he/she had learned.
Dont be judgemental, or dont talk against your friend until you had never walked
two miles with his/her moccasins.
As we gather here tonight, we dont just display our elegant dresses, surely we are
here to celebrate the spirit of FRIENSHIPS.
Smile is the best way to start it. Hi and Hello is the beginning that makes a
thousand pages for ones friendships.
