Spain

In Spain, the population is about 46.56 million, the major language spoken by the
population is Espaol. The major religion people practice in Spain is Catholic, about
94% of the population.Out of the whole population, the major household income is
23,053 euros, or 25,290.29 in American dollars.
The United States and Spain established a diplomatic relationship back to 1783.
However, it was re-established in 1899. The two countries are corresponding to each
other in many fields that involve global challenges, promoting international cooperation
(NATO), defense and security relations by the mutual defense assistance agreement,
etc. They both are strong allies in the fight against terrorism. From the United States to
Spain, it is 4,317 miles west. On a plane, it takes about a 9 hour plane ride to get there,
depending on where you take off from. In conclusion, the two countries are very
committed to educational and cultural exchange to support the U.S.-Spain Fulbright
Program.
In Spain, there are tons of beautiful landmarks throughout the country. The
aqueduct of Segovia is a structure built by the Romans and provided water of the
country until the 20th century. Ibiza is one island off of Spain that is a huge tourist
attraction in Spain during the summer with its popular night life. El Escorial, political
center of spanish empire, designed as a monument to represent its role in Christianity.
Alhambra, part fortress, palace, and garden that overlooks south spain. Mezquita of
cordoba, famous for pillars and arches in the building, originally a Roman temple.
Spain is a very interesting country with lots of cool history and culture. Spain has
gone through multiple different names such as Iberia, Hesperia, Ispania, and Hispania.
Different inhabitants and invaders from other countries gave the country its many
names. Soccer is a really important and popular sport in Spain. Real Madrid, the
Spanish football club based out of Madrid, is the most valuable sports team in the
world. (Kasia Mikoluk 1) Spain is a beautiful country with a lot of cool places for tourists
or even to live there!
