The coca cola company has a good sustainability, they have a balance in
all the three pillars for a sustainable development.
Coca cola wants to improve their sustainability by the year 2020 through
efforts by The Coca-Cola Company and nearly 250 bottling partners. They
have the opportunity to learn from their bottling partners that have
advanced sustainability programs.
ENVIRONMENTAL PILLAR:

They protect the environment

by attempting to make changes
in their operations to reduce
climate impact.
One of their goals is to reduce
the carbon footprint of the
drink in your hand by 25
percent by 2020. They want to
do that efforts involving
packaging, agricultural
ingredients, manufacturing, distribution and refrigeration.
Coca cola started researching in 2008 to found the 2030 Water
Resources Group (2030 WRG) to improve water policy in several
countries around the world.
They reduce the packaging waste, also the increase renewable
materials and the packages are reused.
SOCIAL PILLAR:

Coca cola makes commercials to

promote equal rights for
everybody, for example: in United
States they say that to love America
is to love everybody. That means to
love and respect everyone despite
their culture and religion.
They respect the human rights and
it is very important to their vision
and their ability to operate a
successful global enterprise.
They expect of the company, bottling partners and suppliers to avoid
causing or contributing to adverse human rights impacts. Also they are
responsible for preventing adverse human rights impacts directly linked
to their operations.
Coca cola is a member of Shift Project Ltd., which is leading center of
expertise on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Shifts team works globally to embed the Guiding Principles into practice.
ECONOMIC PILLAR:

The company has various

products but the main one is the
soda Coca-Cola. The company
has thought of making more
products because doctors are
recommending to reduce the
consume of the soda, and if that
happens there is water and
juices, but also there would be
more products to sustain the company.
With what they earn with the other products, they distribute more
sodas so the economy doesnt decrease.
Coca cola makes many commercials so people will want to get one soda
and with that raise their economy. Also because they had always had a
rivalry with the Pepsi company.
