DAILY ROUTINES
Unpacking, completing calendar, read whole group
center directions, complete small group activities,
lunch, finish up small group work, math and then
specials [i.e. music, art, P.E.]

This class does not have any labeled special education students YET.
Though, there are some that are questionable and could be identified
later in the school year. With gifted testing occurring soon for first
graders, some students may be identified gifted.

CLASS THEME
BE A DORY. During the first week of school, Mrs. A
showed her students a video of Dory, her puppy,
learning to go down the stairs. They could tell she
didn't like it. She stopped in between every step to
bark and hesitate; she didn't want to keep going but
she eventually gets to the bottom step and did it.
Likewise, in the classroom, things may not always be
easy or something they want to do but if we are like
Dory, we will keep trying and never give up!
She also uses attention grabbers to transition like
holy moly guacamole to have the students respond if
they can hear me.
BEHAVIOR/DISCIPLINE PLAN
Use of CLASS DOJO to communicate behaviors to parents and
reward students. Mrs. A uses this program throughout the day on her
iPad and can send updates of work and behavior.
Periodically using small candy during the day for immediate reward
Students with high points [receive and lose points throughout the day
for pros and cons and it is visible for them to see on CLASS DOJO]
answer academic questions to pick from treasure box, so that behavior
is earned first and then also ties into what they are learning.

STUDENTS
Cassidy quiet, very sweet Halle keeps to herself, quiet
Christian very hard worker, mature Isabella shy, smart, good worker
Jackson energetic, has trouble focusing on work James quiet, does work, but can get distracted
Jakarr always messing around, strong reader John emotional, but very sweet
Josey struggles to focus on herself, breaks rules Lilliana very sweet, hard worker and very intelligent
Justice busy boy, does more playing than working Madalyn does her work and keeps to herself mostly
Khloe keeps to herself, does her work mostly Lana sweet girl when she wants to be, doesnt follow rules
Zoey has not been following the rules or following the schedule of what she is supposed to be doing in class
Yosiah such a mellow child, super sweet and respectful and very intelligent with a high level of common sense
Sarah SUPER quiet, struggles with reading and writing, but a very sweet girl who tries with her what she lacks in
Ryan- busy body, messes around too much instead of doing his work, doesnt pay attention to what he is supposed to be doing
Reggie loves attention and loves to talk, can get work done when focused but can also get distracted easily
Peyton mostly keeps to himself, though he can distracted by the kids around him or drift off in space
Nick very sweet, works hard to get his work done, though sometimes common sense isnt all the way there with directions
