amotIQ Supply Cockpit

Cockpit for supply within a supplier logistics center

Central monitoring and control of SMI processes

with SAP R/3
Single-stage supply chain with SLC
One variant of the supply logistics within the Supply
Chain Management is supply within a warehouse
operated by a service provider on behalf of the OEM:
the supplier logistics center (SLC). The service provider
takes over the supply to the assembly line, e.g.
vehicle-related, sequenced, according to batch size or
installation site. For the OEM, this single-stage supply
chain has the following advantages:
Security of supply thanks to the demand-based
inventory status
Planning reliability thanks to the breathing buffer
(demand fluctuations and sequence changes are
captured) Detail activity 1 - Delivery to SLC VDA4913 VA 40
Information security, the service provider manages a
number of parts groups/suppliers within one
management process
Liability security, responsibility is split. The supplier
is responsible for securing supply replenishment, the
service provider for monitoring the delivery situation
and both monitor each another

For the supplier, supply via a SLC has the following

advantages:
Increased flexibility in the planning and organization
of own production and delivery
No warehouse inventories of finished parts held by
the supplier or OEM

Basic functions
amotIQ Supply Cockpit is a SAP add-on for suppliers Detail activity 2 - Confirmation from SLC VDA4913 VA

who deliver in a SLC, as required by DaimlerChrysler
for example. The OEM defines the ranges and inventory
parameters which will maintain the SLC store of the
intermediary service provider at an optimal stock level.
The supplier defines independently when and in which
batch sizes deliveries will be made. The amotIQ
application provides a cockpit for suppliers in which all
data flows together. The cockpit displays all actions with
transparency - for example, deliveries to the SLC, and
from the SLC to the OEM, and all planning tools for
equipping the SLC. The cockpit also makes it possible
to directly access IDoc management and to create
deliveries directly.

The process parameters
Supply replenishment control is performed using the
following process parameters:
Requirement notifications, used by availability
planning and the production resources procurement
and transmission of the actual requirement flows
(peak)
Minimum/maximum inventory, control via static
inventory values, used to control delivery, dispatch
scheduling and supply replenishment planning
Packaging instructions, used to determine batch
size and package composition in production and
dispatch
Minimum/maximum ranges, control via dynamic Screenshot from the amotIQ Supply Cockpit: example

Additional functionality
Management of transit inventory and confirmation of
incoming goods: incoming goods to the SLC can
initially be booked on the transit inventory, and once
the WE confirmation is received from the SLC,
rebooked from the transit inventory over to the
consignment inventory
IDoc monitor: consolidation of all IDoc monitoring
features in a cockpit
Delivery planning/scheduling and planning cockpit:
using defined static and dynamic inventory
parameters and range parameters and
requirements/consumptions, amotIQ Supply Cockpit
automatically generates delivery proposals, which
the processor can adapt manually. The functions of the central SLC inventory cockpit
Visual control using signal lights: indicates the
status of the sales voucher. If the processor clicks on
the sales voucher, a pop-up will appear showing the
error message.

Modular design
The amotIQ Supply Cockpit has a modular design and
can be quickly adapted to respond to further
requirements, for example triangular trade, internal
business traffic and drop shipment management. All
processes can be integrated in the SAP standard
without any modification.
