The Hermeneutics as The Concept of Planning and Interpreting Message

Abstract: Hermeneutics or the study of interpretation is requires to be


acknowledge by the actors of the communication when interacting with the
public. Misinterpretation delivered by the communicators can cause
misunderstandings. Several aspects that need to be understood by the actors of
communication, either the communicator or the communicant, are grammatical
aspects and psychological aspects. Besides, the message packaging must also
be done appropriately, by concerning on the framework of the message,
communication style, message design strategy, and meaning structure obtained,
which is appropriate to the characteristics of public. Technically, interpreting
message undertaken in two ways, namely assumption method and comparison
method. The interpretation of the message with contextual coherence will be
concerned through the interpretation alternatives, which basically gives a `clear`
and `logic` meaning in the communication process.

The Impact of School Characteristics, Public Participation, School


Climate, and Management Capability toward School Effectiveness at
Junior High School in DKI Jakarta

Abstract: This research was aimed to dig information which was related to the
impact of school characteristics, public participation, school climate, and
management capability toward school effectiveness. This research was
conducted with the sample of state junior high school in DKI Jakarta through a
survey by using a path analysis to examine the hypothesis. Through this study, it
was concluded that to increase the school effectiveness, it is required a
management capability. The correlational relationship was obtained is the school
characteristics directly affected to the school climate and management
capability; public participation directly affected the management capability; the
school climate directly affected to the management capability; and the
management capability had direct influenced to the school effectiveness.

The Translation of Idiomatic Expressions Based on Semantic


Communicative Method

Abstract: Idiom is a group of words in which the meanings cannot be


determined based on the real meaning of the word forming itself. An idiom is the
grammatical and natural for the native speakers language. This article discusses
the translation of idiomatic expressions in English. The technique used is the
Semantic-Communicative Translation Method. Through this method, the
translator is required to be able to functionally produce the equivalent meaning
in the target language, so the translation can be understood easily. In
determining the equivalent, there are two things to consider: (1) contexts (so
that the translation is matched), and (2) the syntactic relations between the
words their referent. By considering these two aspects (contexts and syntactic
relations), it is expected that the equivalent produced in the target language
(BSa) is relevant to the meaning in the target source language (Bsu). The
appropriate use of a method is important in the translation since it can
determine the quality of a translation. The semantic-communicative translation
method is expected to bridge the meaning from the source language to the
target language.

Faktor-faktor Penting dalam Keberhasilan Pembelajaran Bahasa Secara


Daring

Abstrak: Seiring maraknya perkembangan pembelajaran secara daring dewasa


ini, perlu bagi kita menanyakan hal-hal apa saja yang menentukan keberhasilan
kegiatan belajar mengajar secara tepat dalam situasi lingkungan pembelajaran
yang baru ini. Studi ini mengenalkan dan menguraikan secara mendalam
sejumlah faktor dalam pelaksanaan keberhasilan untuk menerapkan
penyampaian pembelajaran secara daring, terutama yang berkaitan dengan
pembelajaran bahasa secara daring. Hal ini meliputi, karakteristik siswa dan
guru, rancangan pembelajaran, pemberian dukungan pada guru dan siswa,
teknologi dan karakteristik keterampilan bahasa. Saya berpendapat bahwa
faktor-faktor tersebut perlu dipertimbangkan secara teliti ketika merancang
pembelajaran bahasa secara daring semata-mata karena dapat berpeluang
mempengaruhi cara belajar dan pengalaman siswa dalam pembelajaran dalam
lingkungan pembelajaran baru.
