Ananta Aspen Centre, an independent and not-for-profit organization focuses on leadership


development and open dialogue on important issues facing Indian society. One of its flagship
programmes in the realm of Leadership is the Kamalnayan Bajaj Fellowship (http://www.ananta
aspencentre.in/intro_leadership.aspx) which seeks to develop a new generation of values-based
action oriented leaders to serve India. The Shri Ram Ananta Aspen Leadership School
(http://www.anantaaspencentre.in/shri_school.aspx) is the junior leadership programme for students
of grades 9-12.
Ananta Aspen Centre now launches a unique leadership programme for outstanding college
students that uses Socratic dialogue and the unique pedagogy of action oriented values-based
leadership to move youth from thought to action and uncover the hidden leader within.

THE EMERGING LEADERS PROGRAMME has three unique components:


Residential Leadership Bootcamp, Mentor Me! Program and Good Society Project.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME


Develop leadership and self-reflection skills
Create greater sense of awareness about ethics, values-based leadership
Develop problem solving, strategy and networking skills
Grow emotionally, intellectually and socially
Build appreciation for diversity in viewpoints

THE PROGRAMME STRUCTURE


The 6-day Leadership Bootcamp from 26th June1st July 2017 is centred on Socratic
Dialogue, which explores personal values through literature from around the world.
Each text presents challenges and asks students to articulate their values and
leadership styles. Moreover, there would be group & individual activities, thoughtful
debating sessions with self-reflection and a chance to explore ones private dream.

The Mentor Me! Programme is structured to provide guidance and mentoring to the
participants by individuals who are leaders in their respective fields. The experience and
direction provided by the Mentors, in 4 sessions over a period of one year, will help the

PROJECT (GSP)
Students will receive guidance & support to manage Students will build an entrepreneurial mind-set &

participants manage learning, maximize potential and improve performance.

The 2 month Good Society internship project is a platform for our young participants to
understand the dynamics of a real-time project. The experience of executing an
entrepreneurial venture with an expert & industry leader will help build complex skills of
leadership, understand problem solving in the social sector and gauge interest areas for
future endeavours.

ADMISSION & SELECTION


Criteria for Admission
College students (preference to 1st and 2nd year students)
The student should be academically inquisitive with strong extracurricular activities
An overall performer and team player, ready for challenges
Should have a good command over written and spoken English

Admission Process
The first round of selection will include a comprehensive application form with
Academic scores Extra-curricular activities Personal essay questions
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on call/skype
TRAVEL & LOGISTICS
The leadership bootcamp of The Ananta Aspen Emerging Leaders Programme is a
6 days offsite residential programme.
Participants need to arrange their travel to reach Nagpur. Ananta Aspen Centre would
take care of the travel to and fro from Nagpur to Wardha. Alternatively, participants
could reach Wardha directly by train.
Travel and Arrival at Wardha: 25th June 2017 Participants would meet at
Nagpur and from there, they would be taken to Wardha which is around a 2.5
hours journey by road.
Departure: 2nd July 2017 Participants would be driven back to Nagpur from
Wardha.
Ananta Aspen Centre would take care of boarding and lodging, seminar material,
excursions and other group activities.

COST OF THE PROGRAMME


There is no fee to join this programme. On selection, a nominal donation of `15,000
is suggested towards local expenses.
