While recently talking with my mother in law (Mrs. Wanda Dabney), a retired member of
the Avondale School District, she informed me of an opening for your Kindergarten
program. Knowing how much she loved the community she worked for, I am confident I
too could see myself retiring from Avondale many years down the road with as many, if
not more, fond memories.
One of the many benefits of living a military lifestyle, due to my husbands commitment
to the United States Air Force, was being given the chance to see how our public school
system diversified from state to state. It has also provided me the opportunity to
experience teaching in different grade levels, backgrounds, class sizes, behaviors, and
academic levels. All of which provided me countless lessons in such a short career span.
While attending college in Illinois, I was lucky enough to assist for many years in the
Special Education program at Lions Park Elementary, Mount Prospect School District 57.
I was able to work with a range of students in all grade levels aiding them in daily tasks
and modifying their current course work tailoring it to each students needs.
Sincerely,
Annie Ranachowski
