Ms. Aura Nelson

Avondale Elementary School District #44
295 W. Western Avenue
Avondale, AZ 85323

Dear Ms. Nelson,

While recently talking with my mother in law (Mrs. Wanda Dabney), a retired member of
the Avondale School District, she informed me of an opening for your Kindergarten
program. Knowing how much she loved the community she worked for, I am confident I
too could see myself retiring from Avondale many years down the road with as many, if
not more, fond memories.

One of the many benefits of living a military lifestyle, due to my husbands commitment
to the United States Air Force, was being given the chance to see how our public school
system diversified from state to state. It has also provided me the opportunity to
experience teaching in different grade levels, backgrounds, class sizes, behaviors, and
academic levels. All of which provided me countless lessons in such a short career span.

While attending college in Illinois, I was lucky enough to assist for many years in the
Special Education program at Lions Park Elementary, Mount Prospect School District 57.
I was able to work with a range of students in all grade levels aiding them in daily tasks
and modifying their current course work tailoring it to each students needs.

As my husbands career directed him to a new location, it allowed me to explore the

education system in a new state; Oklahoma. There, I worked as a substitute teacher
ranging in grade levels from kindergarten to middle school and classes such as Music, Art,
PE, and Spanish. I was approached by the school principal at Adams Elementary part of
the Norman Public School system and asked to stay on permanently as an assistant to a
special needs student in the third grade.
I would love to discuss more of my experiences and what I feel I can contribute to the
Avondale Kindergarten program. Enclosed you will find resume and many references. I
look forward to contacting you next week regarding any employment opportunities. In
the meantime, please feel free to contact me 123-456-7890 or annieranch6@gmail.com
with any questions you may have.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Annie Ranachowski
