COURSE OBJECTIVE
The programme aims to focus on impact assessment and review for refining
the PPP process as it stands in the country today for implementing in the
areas such as world class stations, MFCs, MMLPs, commercial utilisation of
land, high speed rail corridors, rail port connectivity etc. as mentioned in
Vision 2020 document of the Indian Railways. The pace at which
infrastructure creation has to materialise in the country as envisaged in the
XI FYP is extremely difficult to achieve through the Public processes alone in
the traditional EPC format. There are a large number of projects waiting to
be designed and made bankable which can be delivered using the PPP
method and would add to the Government’s efforts for building more roads,
more ports, modern railway stations and airports etc. The programme builds
upon the knowledge yielded by best practices in PPP in sectors such as
airports, national, highways, ports etc.
