Summary of the Event (at least 3 major points; each point will have its own

A. A bomb threat was heard through a walkie talkie at a jewish community

center. Samantha Taylor with others made a move to evacuate students and
teachers. Early that morning the place was searched by the police and dogs.
All 48 Jewish community centers located in 26 states and one canadian
province received nearly 60 bomb threats in January. On February 20 11 JCCs
were a target of bomb threats across the country.
B. The first member of Trump family to comment about the bomb threats was
Ivanka Trump. On February 20 she tweeted "America is a nation built on the
principle of religious tolerance. We must protect our houses of worship &
religious centers. #JCC". The FBI have also commented by saying the bureau
and the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division are investigating.
C. The safety of students at JCCs community has parents taking precautions.
Fifty students in preschool have been removed out of school in Orlando.
Where Else in Albany 12 families have taken their children out of school. As a
result schools are enforced to cutting budgets and staff. Across the country
JCCs have upped the security and are having town hall meetings to calm
families.
D. Jews have been the target of more than 1,270 hate crimes. There isn't much
information about the phone calls. Security advisor, Goldenberg uses voice
masking which makes more difficult to tell if the voice is male or female.
"They could be 15 or 60 years old. These masking technologies are very
effective." The perpetrator uses technology to make him/ her seem as though
they are coming from the JCCs.

Your Opinion of the Event (at least 3 sentences).

I believe people aren't taking the threats as a serious threat, because the threats have
not taken place. I too am among those people because of the amount of calls and still
no movement from the perpetrator. What really affected me is the amount of hate
targeted towards Jewish Communities.

Relate your Event to a Historical Event (compare and contrast with current event).
This event can be related to several events in history, even some right now. For
example there are many Mosques in America that are currently getting bomb threats
or have been set on fire over the last couple of months. For instance like that time a
caller had threatened to drop a bomb at Orange County Mosque, back in December
of last year. This event can also relate to some of the ideologies that many Nazis had
during world War 2, the beliefs that the inferior group of people had no right to be
alive.

Relate your Event to the a subtheme (at least 3 sentences).

This event can relate to both the sub theme religion and belief system, philosophies,
and ideologies. This event relates to religion because Jews are the targets of vicious
attacks for what they practice. The caller who calls these JCCs community with
threats has the ideology that he/ she is inferior to Jews.

2. How old is the perpetrator?
3. If the perpetrator is caught how many years can he/she serve in prison?

war 2?
