Homework week 38 May 22nd

Dear parents,
We are approaching the end of the school year and for this reason I
would like to explain how we will finish these last weeks. Your children
are concluding two projects, one in writing and another one in science,
that are carried out at school. With regard to Spelling I will be evaluating
High Frequency words. These are the words that every third grade
student must know how to read and write at the end of the course.
Therefore on Fridays they will have quizzes of the four lists. On these
quizzes there will be assessments of addition, subtraction, multiplication
and division, plus multiplication tables. In the reading area, I will be
performing certain assessments (DRA's, fluency passages, reading
comprehensions) to assess reading level. For these the only thing that
can be done to be prepared is to continue practicing the readings in RAZ
Kids. They are missing only a vocabulary quiz from the last two
readings: Articles and Lifetimes. Below you will find a calendar with
important dates for quizzes, exams, and projects to present.
On Friday, June 9th, you are invited to accompany your child to a
science/technology activity (STEM) and then to see the project on the
Taklamakan desert. I will send another e-mail with more information.
I take this opportunity to thank you for your confidence and support
during this time. It has been a school year of great growth for both them
and me.
