SEMINAR REPORT FORMAT

For Technical seminar VIII semester students should prepare Power Point Presentation and spiral bind
hard copy of seminar report in the following format. Before the submission of final seminar report a
draft copy has to be submitted to the committee for corrections. No reports are accepted with mistakes.

The Report must be in the following format.

System design should have System Architecture with
explanation, some real time examples/utilities, advantages
and disadvantages (maximum 5 Pages)
3. Implementation details and Associated Technologies
( maximum 5 pages)

7. Conclusion 1

8. References 1

Report Specification
1. Enough matter (text, figures etc) in a page; not mostly white space.

2. Figures should have captions and be numbered for example Fig.5.8 Variation of speed with
load.

3. Figures equations, tables to be continuously numbered within a chapter for example

Fig.4.1, Fig.4.2Table 4.1, Table 4.2..

4. MS Word Times New Roman font, size 12 for body of text; size 14 and bold for both
sub section titles and section titles; size 10 for table heading and figures and captions.

5. For chapter title font size(16) and it should be bold.

6. If a figure or table in chapter 3 happen to be the fourth then assign 3.4 to that figure
for example Fig.3.4 or Table.3.4.

7. All pages should be numbered continuously.

8. For figures, graphs, charts, flow diagrams etc. captions should be at the bottom.

9. For tables, captions should be above the tabular column.

10. Tables and figures should confirm to the margin specifications. Large size figures should
be reduced to the appropriate size before insertion.

11. 1.5 line spacing

12. Margin Left=1.5, Right=1, Top=1, Bottom=1.

13. Subscript and superscripts should be properly printed.

14. Use spell checkers: but follow British spelling.

15. Total number of pages cannot be less than 18-20 pages.

16. The total number of slides should not exceed more than 18 slides.
