JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Research Officer, ISGF

India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) is a Public Private Partnership initiative of Ministry of Power (MoP),
Government of India for accelerated development of smart grid technologies in the Indian power
sector.

Designation Senior Research Officer

Functional Area Communications and Cyber Security for Power Systems

Detailed description of work Prepare Technical Reports and White Papers

Evaluate the available and upcoming scenario of smart grid
communication and cyber security
Understand national and international best practices and
suggest policy/regulatory changes for India
Participate in Technical Committees and Standardisation
organisations
Lead, plan, manage and implement projects
Represent ISGF in various stakeholder meetings/discussions
Other duties as assigned

Key Competencies Detailed knowledge of communication technologies and

cyber security for power systems
Good functional knowledge of power sector
Liaise and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure
consensus
Excellent project management & project coordination skills
Time & Cost Management Skills : Able to meet
deadlines/keep to a schedule and budget
Personal integrity Trustworthy and not willing to
compromise standards/reputation
Information and task monitoring
Strong analytical skills
Excellent Communication skills
Good Analytical Skills, Problem analysis, Judgment and
problem-solving

Job Environment Able to work on a flexible schedule (including evenings and

weekends to accommodate job requirements)

Reporting to President (ISGF)

Job Location Delhi

Qualification M.Tech/Ph.D. (preferably in IT/Communication/Electronics)

Desired Experience 4-5 years of experience in power sector (experience in smart

grids and distribution sector will be preferred)

Salary Best as per industry standards, Negotiable for the right

candidate
